Of Note — December 7
I can’t get over how much fun I had at Brooke and Andrew’s wedding last weekend. It was such a fun and love-filled weekend. I cried like a baby when Brooke walked down the aisle, and we tore up the dance floor until the very last second. One of my favorite moments of the night was when the DJ played “Dancing Queen,” and we made a little circle to dance around Brooke while she twirled in her dress (and Megan and I did the Mamma Mia choreography across the circle from each other). It was so joyful and special. I love love!
Literally not a thing. I haven’t picked up a book this week. There’s a chance of snow this weekend, so if I’m trapped indoors then I’m hoping to get some quality time in with Michelle Obama and other literary friends.
I’ve made what is probably a terrible mistake. I decided to rewatch the pilot of The West Wing (for the millionth time). I have the box set, but I watched it on Netflix. And Netflix makes it frighteningly easy to carry straight on to the second episode of The West Wing. And so on. And so forth. Now I’m 17 episodes in, and I think I’ve accidentally trapped myself into a(nother) rewatch of The West Wing. Whoopsie daisy!
It’s that time of year! Spotify has released their Spotify Wrapped site where you can see your music trends from the whole year. Surprising literally no one, two of my top five artists were Amanda Seyfried and Lily James — pretty impressive considering the fact that the Mamma Mia 2 soundtrack didn’t even come out until the middle of July. My music listening was heavily influenced by teaching spin, and it’s fun to see what songs I loved and played for my classes over and over again. Here’s my Top Songs of 2018.
Another busy weekend, another week following where I completely avoid the grocery store and eat out a ton. The favorite meal out of the week was Monday night, when Haley and I went to dinner at Carrabba's and paid like $45 to eat pasta and split a bottle of pinot noir while we caught up on our weekends. It had been literally three days since we’d seen each other, but somehow it felt like a lifetime. Love a good dinner at a chain restaurant and early to bed!
